Cat Notes is the MeowLore newsletter. I send one email every other Tuesday. It covers one cat-health or behavior topic at the depth it actually deserves, with the veterinary sources I leaned on so you can check my work. I write carefully here for a reason: a newsletter is not a vet, and a cat that is off its food or hiding does not need my opinion, it needs an exam.
What lands in your inbox
- One topic, treated properly. What the current veterinary guidance says, where it is genuinely unsettled, and the part owners most often get wrong. No filler around it.
- The sources behind it. When I make a specific claim about feline health, I tell you where it comes from so you are not taking my word alone.
- One reader question I can answer responsibly. If a question really needs a vet, I say that plainly instead of guessing, because that is the honest answer.
Five minutes to read, give or take. The point is to make you a calmer, better-informed owner, not to replace the person who can actually examine your cat.
What you will not get
- Diagnoses by email. I will not tell you what is wrong with your cat. I will tell you what the literature says and when to call a vet.
- Daily email or alarmist subject lines. One issue every two weeks, written like an adult.
- Sponsored content posing as advice. Any partnership is labeled in the subject line and follows the affiliate disclosure.
- Your email shared outside the vendors named in the privacy policy.
After you sign up
A confirmation email arrives within a few minutes, sent through Mailchimp. Click the link and you are subscribed. The next issue lands on a Tuesday morning, US Eastern time. If it does not arrive, check spam, then reach me through the contact page.
Your email, and what happens to it
- I ask for your email address only. A first name is optional.
- One-click unsubscribe sits in the footer of every issue and works at once. I keep a suppression record of the address so it is never re-added by accident.
- Cat Notes is meant for readers in the United States. If you subscribe from the EU, UK, or EEA, the email transfer relies on standard contractual clauses, and you keep the rights set out in the privacy policy.
A standing reminder
MeowLore is an information site. It is not a substitute for veterinary care. If your cat is unwell, frightened, or behaving in a way that worries you, contact your veterinarian. For a suspected poisoning, call your vet or an animal poison control line right away rather than waiting for the next issue.
Trouble, or you want back in
If unsubscribe fails, you want to change your address, or you left and want to return, write through the contact page and I will fix it within a couple of weekdays.
